The BEST Summer Refreshing Smoothie…kid approved!

Summers are the times we enjoy salads, smoothies, and ice cream…am I right?! Once it’s above 65°F, all I crave is a watermelon smoothie during a hot afternoon to refresh and get something a little sweet to feel energized!

So now that I’ve shared my favorite summer refreshment…let’s get you a tangible recipe you can use all summer long (and trust me, the family will love it too!)

My FAVORITE Watermelon Smoothie Recipe:

All you need is a blender and a glass to enjoy your beverage! Highly recommend adding a festive umbrella to make you feel like you are somewhere tropical. ;)

What You Need:

  • 1 cup coconut milk (makes it creamier) OR 1 cup coconut water
  • 2 cups watermelon
  • 1 tablespoon chia or flax seeds (NOT GROUND, you want whole seeds)
  • ½ cup mango
  • ½ cup frozen pineapple
  • ½ lime squeezed
  • ICE (add whatever you prefer for smoothie thickness preference)
  • Optional: 1 scoop collagen powder (to make it more filling if you don’t want it as a refreshing snack)

What to Do:

  1. Blend all ingredients together and enjoy!

**TIP: Blending the watermelon might be difficult. Be sure to have a way to push ingredients down into blades AND layer ingredients. What I mean by this is put down some watermelon, then pineapple, then more watermelon and just keep layering!
