April Favs Coming in HOT!

Apr 25, 2022

End of another month means time for my favorites I can’t wait to share with you…and most importantly why I love these items so much!

Drink Fav: Ginger Root in my smoothies!

Why? Ginger just adds a nice little zest and tang to your green smoothie with ZERO effort. Simply just rip off a chunk of ginger, plop it in the blender with the rest of your ingredients and boom, flavor! Ginger is incredible for helping your digestion process, boosting your immune system, clearing up your skin, relieving PMS symptoms, nausea or an upset stomach. Ginger is just a powerhouse for your body and my go-to for boosting my digestion!

Workout Fav: Jillian Michael’s free 10 minute YouTube

Why? I am not a gym goer or enjoy coming up with my own workouts…or working out for hours (or even 20 minutes lol). That is why I love quick 10 minute videos and Jillian’s add the perfect amount of soreness to my workout regime. My favorite part of her workouts…she doesn’t linger on exercises for too long!! I get bored, so I like mixing it up and this workout definitely keeps me entertained and on to the next muscle builder!

Mindset Fav: 528 hertz for sleep

Why? Whenever I play 528 hz, it seriously sends my body into sleep mode. It is the best cue for my body to be like…ok, now we rest! It helps the house rest, my husband and I rest, the animals rest…just immediate peace in the home. 528 hz is a healing frequency as well so I truly believe it heps my body regenerate even deeper while we sleep. This is my favorite one right now from the free meditation app Insight Timer: https://insig.ht/A3QFhyHgepb

Podcast Fav: The Skinny Confidential – Breathwork Episode

Why? I love sneaking in wellness tidbits effortlessly and throughout my day without needing to set aside 1 hour. This episode is so enlightening on how to incorporate breathwork and meditations into your day with such ease that you seriously have zero excuses not to do it. Give it a listen and I hope it helps you…I did a blog post on how to breath properly based on this episode so if you want the quick dirty on breathwork check it out here!

Kitchen Fav: French Press

Why? I love making a good quality French press coffee for myself every morning…it just has better flavor than a machine. Plus whenever I want to make a very strong brew to make a latte, it seriously is a game changer so I can save some pennies and make my own latte without an espresso machine. I love the versatility of a French press too – you can make tea, froth milk, espresso like coffee, regular coffee, cold brew coffee, juice berries…just so many options for a cheap, simple kitchen item!

Food Fav: Good & Gather Almond Butter

Why? I am not an almond butter lover, but I do really like Target’s Good and Gather Almond Butter. It has one ingredient, no sugar, and actually tastes good! Some almond butters taste like dog food to me (anyone else?) so I get pretty picky…but this one passes the test! Always remember when choosing a nut butter: the ingredient should solely be the nut, you can add your own salt, if there are oils no vegetable oils, NO SUGARS.

Beauty Fav: Jojoba Oil for my nighttime moisturizer

Why? I have been using jojoba oil every night for years now. I infuse it with different essential oils but I always have Frankincense and tea tree mixed with it. Jojoba oil adds the perfect amount of moisture to my skin, the mixture of oils has helped improve my skin tone tremendously and it is 100% affordable. Skin benefits of jojoba oil: moisturizes, relieves sunburn, antibacterial, boosts skin glow, helps with wrinkles and fine lines, antioxidant, promotes collagen synthesis, and so much more! Oh, and if you don’t have makeup remover…this oil seriously does the trick flawlessly!

Can’t Live Without Fav: APEC Water Filter System

Why? I have been raving about filtered water ever since I lived in a camper (so happy that stage is over lol). BUT, filtered water is such a simple way to boost your health, especially if you live in a suburban or an area that treats water. There are so many toxins that can be present in your water so giving your body a chance to have one less think to filter will do wonders for your digestion, immunity, energy, etc. Our water has hints of arsenic which is why we have a reverse osmosis system (this is the ONLY WAY to filter out arsenic, fluoride, chlorine, nitrates, etc). If you do not need to filter out certain chemicals like we do, go with a regular filtration system because RO systems remove minerals your body needs as well. Do your own research and do what is best for your household!
